Digital Skills Hui
Join us for a day of problem-solving, connection-making and opportunity creation within the digital technology sector at the New Zealand Digital Skills Hui 2019, on Wednesday 27 March.
The hui provides an opportunity for industry, government and NGOs to come together for a powerful, action-focused day that will shape priorities and next steps for our digital technology sector. The work we undertake also has importance beyond our industry, with the Tripartite Future of Work Forum and the Digital Economy and Digital Inclusion Ministerial Advisory Group eager to receive recommendations and outcomes from the hui. We will be working collaboratively, brainstorming possible solutions, hearing from game-changers and strengthening the digital skills ecosystem for a stronger, more connected digital technology sector.
You will also hear from the Hon Grant Robertson, and the Hon Dr Megan Woods on the Government’s role in preparing New Zealand for the Future of Work. Click here to view the programme.
The report Digital Skills for a Digital Nation, identified a range of critical economic and social challenges in relation to digital skills in Aotearoa New Zealand, including the shortfall of opportunities for graduates and issues with diversity and inclusion in the sector. We will be working on developing recommendations outlined in the report in a workshop setting and a program outline for the day can be viewed below.
In order to ensure we have the right balance of industry and government representation in attendance, registrations of interest will be reviewed before confirmation of attendance is provided. A maximum of two representatives per organisation will be accepted and registrations will close on Friday 15 March.
